What does it mean to Age Out Loud?

What does it mean to Age Out Loud?

•••

Age is not a limitation—it’s a testament to a life well-lived and dreams yet to be fulfilled.

Infinity Healthcare celebrates the vitality, individuality, and accomplishments of seniors who refuse to let age define them. From accomplished professionals to loving parents and lifelong learners, these inspiring individuals prove that the golden years are a time to shine brighter than ever. By showcasing their stories and eccentric styles, we aim to break stereotypes about aging and inspire people to embrace every stage of life with confidence and joy.

Behind every Age Out Loud story is a support system that makes it all possible. That’s where we come in. Our home care services are designed to empower seniors to live life on their terms—whether it’s providing assistance with daily tasks, offering companionship, or managing health needs. We help create a foundation of independence and comfort so that seniors can focus on what matters most: enjoying their passions, spending time with loved ones, and achieving greatness every single day. Let us be your partner in celebrating the agelessly awesome journey of life.

Meet This Month's Age Out Loud Ambassador!

Age Out Loud Ambassador | December

GRACE – 66

Grace: “..mind your own business. A lot happened before you were born.  And  find your passion and pursue it relentlessly. It is worth it.”

Grace recently retired after a remarkable career dedicated to making a difference in the fields of correctional services and addictions. Most notably, she worked extensively with Drug Treatment Courts across Alberta, including leading efforts to establish new courts throughout the province. Grace also collaborated with international organizations, sharing her expertise on drug treatment court dynamics in countries like Bolivia, Guyana, Abu Dhabi, and the United States.

One of Grace’s greatest passions is travel. She has explored the world through solo adventures, work-related trips, and now in retirement with her partner, Arnie. Grace also enjoys kayaking, e-biking, walking, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Born and raised in a small Mennonite farming community in southern Manitoba, she moved to Alberta over 30 years ago and has called it home ever since.

Grace has two children, six grandchildren (with one on the way), and shares additional grandchildren with Arnie, her partner of three years. The couple is engaged and planning their wedding for 2025.

Three things you might not know about Grace? She spent the first 14 years of her career as a frontline correctional officer, worked over a decade as an addictions counselor, met Arnie on eHarmony, and is now pursuing piano lessons as part of her retirement goals.

Wendy

Together, we’ve traveled extensively, with river cruises being my favorite adventure. I’m a proud mother of three and a doting grandmother to my four-year-old grandson, the light of my life.

After a 34-year career with a Canadian company, where I managed Accounts Receivable for Western Canada and taught software, I retired to pursue my passions for baking, quilting, and volunteering. Now, I spend much of my time at the West End Seniors Activity Center, my “happy place,” where I serve as Birthday Party Coordinator and volunteer regularly.
